Happy Birthday Porter

Happy 4th Birthday Porter

The Greatest Things about Porter:

He has an amazing imagination. He has created a fictional character named "Super Deer" who now has a side kick "Elkie" complete with a theme song and episodes. He asked me the other day when "Super Deer" comes on and when I replied "I don't know" he said "Oh ya, it comes on after Dr. Phil. Silly me!" And for those who know him that is only the tip of his imagination.

He loves his bother and sister very much, they really are his best friends!

Everyone is his friend.

He is very independent and has a mind of his own. He likes to do things on his own time, his own way, and by himself. I'm sure this will come in handy at some point just not so much now.

He is adventerous (It was a little un-nerving when he was little and in public).

He loves hunting (with a little influence from his father) and he loves wathching hunting shows, shooting his pretend animals with his dart gun, and of course playing "Super Deer".

He has a very tender heart and says things that make you want to kick yourself as a parent when you disipline him.

He has a great Sense of Humor!!

We love him so much and he always brightens our day. Happy Birthday Porter. We love you.

WhooHooooo!!!!!

Hooray for Madison...she lost her first...and second tooth today.

as you can see her other teeth were already peeking up behind her baby teeth! She is so excited that she now gets to be on the chart at school for kids who have lost teeth.

I'm feelin' HOT HOT HOT

With a forcast in the 80's today I figured I had better get the backyard cleaned up and the dead grass mowed so we can start watering the lawn and get rid of the "pokey" grass as my kids would say. Since we only have 3 seasons here- Cool, Hot, and Hell... and we have passed cool and are now entering hot...I got to cleaning before Hell arrived and Porter wanted to run through the sprinklers. When Madi got home from school it didn't take her long to have her swimsuit on and join Porter in the festivities.
Best Buddies

Charge!!!

Ahhhh...Too be young again :)

Unfortunately Jacob wasn't feeling well so he was unable to take advantage of the fun but he laughed right along with them as long as he was in my arms!

Fact of Fiction?

Mom is it true that you are what you eat?

Well, you be the judge....but it looks to me like too many cookies turned Jacob into cookie monster!

Okay so maybe not but you still need to eat your vegetables!!!

Valentine's Day Party

So because Madison is in school now she gets to have fun parties for the different holidays and since myself and one of my friends are the "room mom's" we get to plan and put on these fun parties and that leaves poor Porter and Jacob who are usually shipped off to be babysat while I am at the school...so for Valentines I decided to do a special party for those little kiddos who are not yet of school age. Here are some pics of what we did....
Of course we had plenty of snacks to eat.

Decorated cute little heart foam picture frames!

Decorated Cookies and ate tons of sugar!!!

And by tons of sugar...I mean tons!!!!

And while the kiddos played...

The mom's took time to enjoy some ADULT CONVERSATION :)

My Love, My Life, and My Best Friend

I am so glad that I am able to post this so everyone knows the REAL Patrick. He has a tough guys shell but inside he is actually pretty soft. You can tell from the look on his face. This is one of my favorite pictures of our wedding day.

Thank you for all that you do for our family Patrick. You are such a great example to me, you have done more for me than I could have ever wished for. You make me a better person. I am so thankful for all of the memories we have. As always there are up and downs but at the end of the day when we can laugh at the downs and live for the up's there is no one I would rather do that with than you. Thank you!
I Love You!
